Yet another ambient track from my Se7enStep moniker, I created this chillout tune while I was watching the rain come down on a Friday afternoon. Evidently, there's a meaning behind it, especially with the tone of the song, and the fact that it's part of the "Hope EP," but I'll leave it up to you to decide what it means.

Leave me comments and suggestions! I'll try not to be a publicity whore!

Woah

There is nothing wrong here at all. If I could choose two words to describe this song they would be, "fuck yes". I enjoy ambient every now and then, but trust me dude, I'm not a fan of the genre. (In fact the only ambient subgenre I listen to in my spare time is black ambient) Though I'm not that crazy about the genre I must say I dig this song. The pads in the beginning are so coherent and they flow together nicely. Keep making stuff, because I'm a huge fan of this song dude.

Thanks mate! While I may not produce tracks all that frequently, it certainly is nice to know that someone's enjoying what it is that I make!

Great textures

I really like the feel of this one. It breathes well. If I had to offer criticism, I'd just say that it doesn't really "go anywhere."

I'd love to hear some kind of slow evolving growth that takes the length of the entire piece... even better would be a subtle melodic undercurrent that builds over time and eventually prompts some kind of change in the chord progression. Like a long journey to arrive at a different destination you know? But anyway, as a meditation on a single theme, it works well and has great sound ingredients. I like it a lot.

I know what you mean by "it doesn't go anywhere," you were expecting something a little more "soundscapey," if you know what that is.

Who knows? I might end up working with this track a little more, and turning it into some sort of a musical journey. Someday, when I've got a little more experience/

really nice.

I really like this. Smooth melody, nicely layer, good progression. I like those little "drip drop" sounds it has in the beginning, they're nice and percussive enough to give the song structure, but they're not overbearing and loud and typical drum would be. That's a really nice subtle way to give the song a back bone. I lot of people would have just jammed a kick drum in there.

I also love the way it just kind of softens out at the end. The melody ends and it just becomes the base layers.

This is quite good.

This is what I think of when I create ambient-sounding tracks in my head. Something soft, subtle, and yet, deliciously powerful. Glad you like it!
