Easy Listening - Classical

This is my personal, instrumental cover of Owl City's "Fireflies"-- for orchestra.

I did this a few months back, which is why the sounds are slightly sucky but oh well.

Hope you enjoy!

- 30 seconds shorter than the original.
- Sforzando strings at the end suck >:

Don't listen to that douchebag down there

This sounds like it took a lot of effort and though I'm not a big Owl City fan, I'm likin this.

Keep it up

I dislike covers of songs.

Mostly because vocals are the main feature. You can psychoanalyze all you want and say that people who know the songs tend to pay more attention to the instrument they play, but the subconscious mind, the one that just grazes the song, needs vocals if they are their in the original. Or it just sounds empty. Empty regardless of number or type of instruments. Maybe it's just hideously long. I don't know.

Wolflux responds:

I respect that. Each to their own.

I couldn't reach as high as Young if I tried though, otherwise I'd have done a vocal cover; Baritones aren't THAT high-pitched, unfortunately.

I still stand by my decision to make it an instrumental cover, though. I'm perfectly cool with the fact that it won't appeal to everyone.
