Southern Flavor - Blues

Author Comments

Most people probably aren't into long guitar solos. This one is about five and a half minutes long. If you do like long guitar solos, I salute you.

The longer a jam you have, the more you are able to variate, progress, and mangle whatever it is you are playing.

As a guitarist I know that playing with a choppy type of style can be difficult, but you nailed it perfectly. I also know that the tone can make it difficult to play as well, but you still did it perfectly.

I could play the guitar like that. I really liked this piece all the way through. Long Guitar solos are awesome so long as the keep flowing in a general direction. As did this one. Bravo!

Well alright then.

You're officially top of my artists-I-like-to-play to list.

My weapon of choice is the Harmonica and I freakin LOVE playing to your tunes.

Most of your tunes get a mighty 5/5 from me and I'll keep playing to the new ones as long as you keep making new ones.

Very Santana.

I really like this man, although I prefer the Buddy Guy type style, this was really impressive too.

What key is this in man? And what's your setup?

CosmicAlfonzo responds:

I like the Buddy Guy style too. I try to variate my playing to avoid sticking to one particular style... I want my own style!

Course, no matter what I do, the blues will always be a part of it. hah.

This is in B minor if I remember correctly. My setup is A modified 1964 Fender Duo Sonic II, a Trayner YCV80 amp, and a 20 dollar vocal mike hooked up to a cheap 60 dollar mixer.
