In honor of the new Shantae sequel that came out almost a decade after this game! I did it entirely from scratch and by memory, not having listened to the song once so that it would have my own personal flavor in it. Enjoy!

Pretty sure the guy behind the Shantae Soundtrack I and II is Jake "Virt" Kaufman. He's the guy behind (although I'm pretty sure it's down for some ungodly reason) and is an expert at arranging game music, both original and the classics.

Word of advice: straighten up and polish the presentation for this, give it a name derived from hip-hop (sounds like hip-hop) and submit to I'm sure they'll appreciate it as much as we do.

LadyArsenic responds:

I know who wrote the soundtrack. This was just a remix I created by memory in tribute to it, and nothing more. Profit never once crossed my mind, nor do I intend to gain any popularity with it. This was just me having fun and paying respects to a song and game that I really truly enjoyed. If I've caused any trouble in doing this, I sincerely apologize. Thank you for listening!

Arabian & a side dish of Italiano?

This music had a vibe of middle eastern and an Italian feeling to it. Good to see some shantae music coming in. Love it

LadyArsenic responds:

Hahaha that's exactly what I was going for! I've been in love with the Shantae game and soundtrack since I was like... 10... One day I was asked "Why haven't you ever made orchestral versions of these songs?" And I was like "....You're right! Why haven't I!"
So here it is. I decided to make it sound like this because Bandit Town always reminds me of some kind of hidden gangster paradise, like it belongs to the mafia or something. So I tried to incorporate the essence of Shantae mixed with Italian gangster! Evidently it worked! =D
Thanks for listening! <3

Eastern Flavor.

I feel like I'm playing some middle east setting. maybe Sly Cooper goes to Bangladesh. lol.

Good music to set the mood of a place.

LadyArsenic responds:

Shantae takes place in a very Arabian-based setting; she is a Genie after all! You should consider playing it, it's a lot of fun. Also look out for the sequel that just came out this month! Thanks for listening!
