Excellent for dubstep!

Instrumentation: At the beginning of the song I was thinking "my friends show me so much youtube dubstep I'm not used to hearing dubstep without wobble bass" But then the main part happened and I said "oh there it is!" Glad you put it in there, I feel it's pretty essential for dubstep. Of course with dubstep the bass and the percussions are pretty much the only thing there (note pretty much, not entirely) The non-bass instruments are extremely suiting for this song, so I can't say too much more in this part.

Composition: The beginning was really well put together, but just MAYBE adding some of that wobble bass into the intro would be pretty sweet. After the intro, I extremely enjoy the bass, it's certainly unlike most dubstep on youtube where it's just a simple wobble. The strings throughout the entire song are... soothing. If you only played the strings it would be extremely relaxing, but since it's in a dubstep song it adds epicness to it. The closing is really well put together and when the song repeats it just flows right back into the beginning, almost like a really long loop.

Mastering: You've put the basic essentials with the mastering, Bjra says that there's no range, and he's probably right, but to me as long as the bass is in the front and everything else is hearable it's absolutely fine.... (I could also be wearing some mediocre quality headphones, which makes sense since I paid $45 for these)

I'm going to add this to my faves so I can show my friends what real dubstep is like.

scale back the compression!

This song has no dynamic range whatsoever. every instrument is at 0db the entire song.

of course this makes the track easier to enjoy over low end consumer speakers such as ear bud headphones and laptop and monitor speakers.

but playing your track over my nice system with the low end extension, the song is so over compressed especially in the bass, the track becomes quite fatiguing to listen to for me personally.

If this track was played in a club, the crowd would most likely complain about lack of "high tones" mainly because everything is so compressed, the tarck never breathes, and because we as humans are most sensitive to mid range and low end frequencies, we tend to acclimate and then everything else seems quieter.

You don't need to cut the compression down by much, but if you let the track breathe a bit more, it would be vastly more enjoyable.

-I would cut back the master gain hitting the maximizer by say 2-3 db
-I would lower the mid frequency range by aproamently an extra 1-2 db
-I would boost up the gain on the high band of compression 2-3db.
-I would set the bands as follows: low 100 and below, mid 100-7,500, high 7.5k+

Just a few ideas on how I would take a bite out of this track if I were to have a go at mixing and mastering it. It wouldn't be quite as loud on cheap speakers, but on a large club system it would be much more enjoyable and dynamic to a crowd.

It's a fantastic track nonetheless

amazing stuff!

the intro was beautiful, suspensful, and intense.

the main dubstep stuff was powerful, repetitive, and crazy dirty xp

the end was round, pretty, and satisfying.

I guess my main complaint about this song is that it started getting really repetitive.. the mixing itself is excellent as always, though I think that some sections are missing some of the higher frequencies.

so a 9/10
and a download
