I just spent 4 weeks making this track and I'm absolutely spent. IMO it's my biggest production thus far. (also, this is for a contest between me and another user on newgrounds who now goes by "sequenced." I invite all to review it) =D

made with FL Studio 9.6

PS. me and f-777 are making a collab next, thought I'd let you all in on that ;)

320 kb/s version of the song can be found here:

EDIT: A big thanks to all the people who voted and made it possible for this song to get in the top 5 this week! Now to get started on my next project....

Top notch

im going to have to agree with blackhole on this. the lead up is just so freaking amazing, any person would get pumped up and expect some epic fat bassline. but its like NOPE!!! not yet :) which in my honest opinion kinda made my heart sink a lil but then the song was like oh ok, here you go, and make it epic again lol

all in all, a freaking amazing song, dont get me wrong, but there will always be something you can improve on. definitely adding this to my techno collection :D

While this kicks the shit out of my song and laughs in its face, I have to comment on near total lack of low-end on almost the entire song. You've done insane kicks in the past, so this seems to be deliberate, but I question if it was necessarily a good idea.

The build-up here is the most insane thing I have ever heard, but I feel like the song should have had a bigger punch right afterwards. This is really just the song being victim to its own awesomeness, since the build-up is just *that good*. I am going to steal your build-up idea for my own song >D

My favorite part is the primary melody work with the synth in the middle of the song, which is just astounding. The entire song has an incredible atmosphere that few trance songs manage to capture. Your melodies are simply pure elegance captured in harmony.

You have no low end

First off, sweet builds.

As for the rest of the song, well.. the arrangement is fine but the mix is less then desirable. The kick has no low end and the rest of the song seemingly has very little. Sure we can hear your kick, it has nice punch but the overall boom is not there. If you can't feel the kick then whats the point of being able to hear it.

The mix is just as important as the arrangement of the song. The whole thing seems like it has a filter on the master bus. Your Saw synth that is partially filtered sounds dirty because of reverb. Thankfully you didn't over use reverb on your drums.

So maybe to solve some of your low end problems do some layering with a sub bass and a sub kick. The low end is a tricky thing but if you get it even remotely close to sounding decent you'll have a whole new song with more power.
