Easy Listening - Jazz

Author Comments

"C Jam Blues" is a jazz standard composed in 1942 by Duke Ellington and performed by countless other musicians. As the title suggests, the piece follows a twelve-bar blues form in the key of C major.
This is part of my "Jazz Masterclass" project.
This track contains the backing track (with slight reharmonization) and theme (played twice in the beginning and one time in the ending.
There is a 4 - 4 solo before the theme with drums (2 circles)
Tempo is 120 bpm.
Tonality is C major.
Not over squished/ compressed/ limited, so you can record on top on it and add the desired compression.

Track sequenced, performed, recorded and mixed by Mihai Sorohan in 2010.

It's like a piano with asthma having intercourse with a set of drums loaded on caffeine and meth. (this is supposedly a compliment, take it as one XD)

the third beat is off from the origanil. of course it was transformed so many times. the version you have here would be more the 1950"s style. i has a close resemblance to the 40"s style which is what through me off, id say between 1947 to 1950. it sounds good though
