So I was thinking about ocean pollution from human waste and things like that (I think too much), and I came up with the idea of making a song in which the listener finds himself submerged in a lake or an ocean, and every sound is some kind of marine debris, garbage, etc... like, the pads are long greasy oil slicks, a popping sound is a plastic bottle, the little guitar things are pieces of driftwood and so on. The sub bass could be like a whale or a submarine. Or perhaps the ocean itself. I don't know.

So yes this song a bit weird. I think the opening chord is a Cmaj7#11 and then it goes to Cm7, spitting in the face of everything I learned about music theory in the process. But I tend to do that a lot with my songs now. Spitting in the face of music theory. Did a bunch of sampling experiments too. Made some percussion by tapping the microphone, made some weird ice cracking noises by crumbling some chocolate wrapping I found, etc

By the way you should have like a subwoofer or headphones. The deepest tone is a C1 (32 herz!).

Easily one of the best submissions this round.

Can't deny it, you haven't ceased to amaze me. I was really impressed by this track and after hearing it more than three times, I have but one thing to say: please, spit in the face of music theory more often... OK I lied, that's not all I have to say. Here comes the review.

What strikes me so much about this song is that it's so atmospheric. The imagery this track provokes is truly extraordinary. I can easily imagine an underwater landscape with all sorts of debris floating around. Not only that, but the detail you put into this track is just out of this world. No matter how many times I listen to this, I always hear some superb ambiance effect going on in the background, or some new sound.

I'm going to be honest with you, you're one of the most talented artists on Newgrounds in my opinion. I hate to put so much praise into a review and no criticism but I simply can't see anything wrong with this. Outstanding work!

Note: I posted your NGADM Round 1 review because you like reviews so much :P.

It's a good song, I like it!

To me it doesn't sound like a marine themed song, more like a spooky forest if you ask me, but that's just my opinion :D

YAY!! Music theory spitting!

I'm in music theory right now, and my whole class loves to do the opposite of what my teacher is saying. Like my teacher hates the three chord, so we just use that all the time, so music theory spitting is pretttty beast to me.

Anyways! The song is... extremely weird. The overall sound kind of... disturbs me a little bit, which I guess was the point. But... listening to it for a while gave me a headache, and I don't know why, but it's not a good thing. Also, there was no melody apparent, and no harmonization. There was just a multitude of melodies competing, which is not what you want. And the sub bass is kind of like a hearing test. I enjoy the song more than most, but I don't think it's one of the greats on NG. Good work though.

Now off to listen to more of your stuff.

ZZZZZZzzzzzz....
