indeed no dubstep, who cares?
if it was dubstep, you would need somekind of drop, that's one of the dubstep "definitions"... but that doesn't matter anyways it's pissing me off if ppl are focusing on genres... I know that problem with my own music, there's no genre defining my music exactly as it is, I would simply say this song is "electronica with dubstep elements" and thats enough...
actually that "wobble"-bass is hearable for "trained ears" probably for electronic artists only :D in my opinion it's not bassy enough (I'd like more focused deep bass, the higher part of that bass sound is awesome though!)
9/10 cause no bassy bass, but great idea, nice mixing and mastering... the name doesn't really fit this sound I think
5/5
hope my review helps!
Now theres a comment id say. Thank you. Finally somethin worth reading :) youre right about that bass line, this one plays the both parts for the melody and the bass but at the sametime its neither. Right now this song is missing a lot of frequencies below 200Hz. If it went deeper, i would have to take somethin off from the top of the bass and make something new to fill that specific spectrum range so the whole thing wouldnt sound too thin. It woudnt be that hard to do, but it would definitely change the song drastically. It would take the focus off the bass. :D Simple.

this is not dubstep...
sound good, but this aint dubstep =D
no lfo bass wobbles. no half step drums. no dubstep sir =)
but sounds spacy and easy to listen to !
Well its electronic something and definitely some kind of drum'n'bass, only slower and theres pretty much only one sub genre here in NG for DNB. Which is dub. So i get really frustrated when people get too focused on some specific genre and cant let go if the music doesnt suit to their image of what they are used to hear within that genre. Dub is not specified by the wobbling of the bass nor by a half-time drum beat. No sir. But its easier to spot a dub song which includes them. Actually there is a wobbling bass, ive just tuned its frequency to vibrate so fast that the ear cant pick up the velocity. Some might call it a basic bass line. Which it is. But its definitely wobbling. Thanks for the comment :)
