The Adventures of Merrick Kuei OST Mock-up
"Desert Journey"
What do you people think of this? I've had mixed feedback about this track so far, and I'm undecided about abandoning it. The version you hear here was done in a single pass with me playing all the instrument patches live with no post sequence editing.
Feedback positive/negative is welcome.
Thanks for your time.
UPDATED Oct 24, 2010.
I've changed the intro so that the bongos don't overpower the rest of the instruments.

This song is so well written, it gives me an imagery I only thought possible in a story. I absolutely love this piece, and I appreciate you sharing it with me and everyone else. My only criticism is the unfortunate short length of it, and it's somewhat abrupt ending.
Thanks!

Extremely good!
You could do amaszing work for an action film, if James Horner were not present, you could replace him for James Cameron!
The fact that you played the melody reminds me of Motoi Sakuraba.
Extremely entertaining!
Happy composing!
Hey thanks! :D Thanks for the review!

Why ? Because the theme is FANTASTIC !
I don't care if the mix have issues if the melody is flowing so well that instantly transport me to a parallel reality.
Really good.
Thanks Mihai! Good to hear from you.

very good
I can easily picture people traveling across a vast area of sand or grass, even water. Too short for me, feels like it needs a solo instrumental inside or a switch of orchestra instruments. Like if the scene were zooming in onto the traveler, then panning out.
I haven't gone about finishing this song.
