Hey, this is Step on my alt account. I'm using this account for submitting works in progress, unfinished songs, ideas or old songs which suck too much to be submitted on my main account.

This is the result of me doodling around in FL Studio. I had to take a break from all the programming I've been doing, and I thought that I should take it as an opportunity to continue my very old All Hail Windows! series. I made the other three ages ago and submitted them on my main account, Supersteph54.

All Hail Windows! 4 is actually very different from the others. To begin with, this is the first one which actually isn't dissonant. The windows sounds are all naturally all different pitches, so playing one note on one windows sound and another note on a different sound would usually result in painful dissonance, since they're different notes. I had to mess around with the pitch knobs to make them sound good together, and even then I doubt they do since I'm musically inexperienced and deaf from one ear, so I can't be sure.

What also makes this different from the other All Hail Windows! submissions is that this has a much more laid back feel. It's at 85 BPM while the others ranged around 130-150 BPM. I also added some effects to the windows sounds, mainly reverb and delay. I didn't go crazy with the windows sounds and there's only a max of four different windows sounds playing together this time.

The sounds I used were:

Windows XP Critical Error
Windows XP Ding
Windows XP Popup Blocked
Windows XP Empty Recycle Bin
Windows XP Download Finished

I'm planning on using more, since this is only a work in progress.

Anyway, it probably sounds too boring and too bland to be continued, but I submitted it anyway. Enjoy.

All hail windows! XD

This is really cool, and really is up there with all the others windows songs. Fantastic job.

DarkShadow166 responds:

Oops, didn't see this review. Sorry for answering so late!

Glad you like it. It's unfinished and I very much doubt it will be finished, although I'm happy you like what there is so far.

Yay Windows

Constructive criticism, of course lol. The intro takes a bit a little too long to build, but that's just my opinion. Only because that sound isn't a very full sound. It seems like there has to be a little more to it.

The rest of the song sounds cool to me, not very boring or bland. I like how 0:59 sounds. Adding in a deep bass line would sound good, I think. Keep up ze good work =)

Haha, that's what I like to hear.

Yeah I purposefully made it like that but I see what you mean. Maybe I should add more sounds at the beginning to take away that empty sound.

Hah, I wonder what windows sound I can use for the deep bassline... Maybe 'Hardware Failure'?

Thanks for the review, not often that you get constructive criticism here on Newgrounds :D.
