A small chorus, a French Horn, a group of trombone players, a snare, and an acoustic guitar sounds like an awfully odd group to play a song together... however, this song pulls that off quite nicely.

I started this song a few days ago not knowing where it would go, and it ended up taking on a life of its own, going into 3/4, and taking up most of my free time (and my sanity too...). In the end, it came down to that last chord procession that I think really makes it a nice piece... plus the random 3/4 part. :)

Created in Finale 2009c using the Garritan Instruments for Finale 2009.

Oh, and Constructive Criticism only, please. Or at least don't go on a rampage. ;)

entertaining.

i like the chords, they are a bit to choppy. why note tie them so they run smooth. plus whats with all the marching snare rim shots?

samulis responds:

I'll try to get a more legato feeling going, as for the rim shots, It's a little more traditional medieval. They didn't have the vibrating medal bead chains that give the snare its traditional rolling sound. Thanks for the review. I'll work with the song and see if I can achieve that smoothness... and I do agree it would be a smart move. :)
