The Adventures of Merrick Kuei OST Mock-up

"Night Before the Battle"

This is the first song that I finished completely with Cubase. I'm still proud of it to this day.

UPDATE: Feb 12, 2012
- I've uploaded a higher quality .mp3 of my song! ^_^

Simply amazing.

This piece is completely awesome. it sounds so clean... Great production! great arrangement! Mind me asking, what software do you use for the instruments? I can not for the life of me find real sounding instruments like that. Thanks!

Just downloaded this beautiful piece, completely touching. I'm not sure if you've watched Naruto, but the series is known for their OSTs, and Night Before the Battle is definitely on par. Great job!

Such a rare thing to hear strings arranged so...simply, yet, perfectly beautiful all the same.

It's a really excellent piece but I have to agree with the others on this. The song, for me at least, seems to reach a conclusion at about 1.12. Don't get me wrong the flow into the next section is very natural but with the end just fading out to nothing it almost feels like a new piece of music that breaks at the end.

Might be with the introduction of the pipes after 1.12. It feels like a different setting entirely, reminds me of the Last Samurai film.

Even with those noted it's still a beautiful piece. Well done.

Yes. Originally, I had intended this song to be only part of a series of songs for a soundtrack mock-up. But I never finished the series.
