This is a piano arrangement of the BGM from the stage "Hydrocity Zone Act 1" from the video game Sonic 3. This is a collaboration between me and John Weeks.

MIDI Sequenced by John Weeks. Piano arrangement by Dr. Mack Foxx.

MIDI modified and used with permission. Please note: I do have written permission to post this from John Weeks.

great music, I'll never forget the Mega Drive Sonic 3 (as it was called the Sega Genesis here in Brazil).
I'm a fan since 1999 when I won my second video game together with Sonic 1 (SNES was the first).
You deserve more than 5 stars.

I was a bit disappointed when this level wasn't in Sonic Generations. This is really well done. Sonic Fan 2001 - The end of time.

Man, I remember when the Sega Genesis was brand new and got to see Sonic the Hedgehog for the first time. Certainly was nothing like that game at the time and, if you ask me, despite hitting quite a few speed-bumps over the last few years, Sonic is still going strong. A remake of Hydrocity Zone in 3D would rock!

Great to hear you enjoyed this song and thank you for the review! 'Tis greatly appreciated! :)

DrMackFoxx responds:

Oddly enough, this was one of my favorite tracks to remake. I really enjoyed the original song from Sonic 3. Glad to know this cover has done the classic some justice.

Once again, thank you for the awesome review and I'm glad you loved this song! :)

Brought me good old memories back.

I really love this remix, and I agree with Universa : it is better than the original.
It's sure that SEGA must think more for their fans than for themself, because with all the craps they had done in the previous years (the only exceptions are Sonic Colors and the Sonics on the DS).
Keep doing your very good work with John Weeks.

I think it is safe to say that a remix or rearrangement of a piece has turned out very well indeed when people say it is better than the original. Thank you very much! John and I shall endeavor to make more tracks like this. That's for sure. :)
