This is my version of the Nine Inch Nails song "A Warm Place".

Covering anything that's off of The Downward Spiral is no easy feat as that album is probably the most we'll see of Mr. Reznor's deep, dark and yet creative mind. And well, that's hard to replicate, haha. The original provides a disturbing, almost horrifying vibe, as it winds down the concept of the "downward spiral" of man that the album tells. I can imagine a man who's curled up in a corner, scared of everything that exists. Some dark imagery.

However, your cover gives... peace. The calm of the storm, the light at the end of the tunnel. To take such a demented song and breathe optimism into it requires talent. Great job.

Very Enjoyable

Now I've never listened to NIN, but because of this song I went and listened to "A Warm Place". To be honest I really preferred your version over the original. It's a very smooth and enjoyable. Nice job.

hmm...

Well, I was listening to the Downward Spiral cd last night, so I was getting back into listening to NIN all the time. Then I found this. Kick Ass!!!

Been a while since I heard a decent cover of the song. Going to check out more now.

Very good indeed

That was a really decent cover of one of my favorite songs by Nine Inch Nails. It's good that you used some different sounds and instruments from the original as it really paid off. This deserves a far higher score than what it has. It got my five.

TopherJ responds:

Thank you very much. I made this a long time ago when I first discovered FLStudio.
