So I got my first synth orchestra pack. This is what I came up with after 3 hours. Everything is done by synth except where noted below:

Piano, Snare Drum, and Acoustic Guitar are all very real and are played by me.

So I called the song "Color" to fit with it's dynamic nature... There is a dense, epic part near the beginning. In the middle there is a complex and slightly mischievous part, and near the end there is a peaceful, folky part featuring a soft flute and my guitar playing.

Well I don't really know my way around the program, yet, but tell me what you think of this!

Nice. You got an orchestra pack. Is it GPO? Props for using the real instruments, it sounds great. Only thing is that you need to work on the mixing a bit. Some instruments are way too overpowering, and others sound muddy. Keep it up. Composing is one thing, but Mixing is a whole 'nother challenge to tackle.
You are great at piano by the way!

Colour storm

I like the start, its got the whole spectrum feel to it. its as though the instruments you use embody different types of colour, as the song progresses one really can imagine this, however the other orchestral instruments become a little overpowering around the halfway point. but when you bring the cello in it mellows out, unfortunatly the pad in the background is somewhat strong, however after that it kind of mellows out, but there are still some volume issues.
overall this is a fitting composition for the title. the piece has this way of cycling through the entire spectrum, but it also has this stormy feel to it. the instruments you chose really make it seem this way.
Anyway, well done.
