This is something I wrote for fun, with an action-packed trailer in my mind as I wrote it. I will be submitting this cue into the Back-End Music Library of 'John Carta Productions', which is an extensive music library intended for the production community worldwide (aimed at television). Before I do so, I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions!

I find nothing wrong

The fast pace keeps you on the edge of your seat. The drums are great, so complex and well placed.

5/5, 10/10 from me.

Good with some issues.

This is a very good piece, and there's no doubt that it would work well as trailer music for an action film. However, there are two flaws that affect it's overall quality.

First off, some of the string sections sound really choppy, especially in regards to the higher-pitched instruments. It isn't so bad at first, but at about 00:26, the choppiness really becomes noticeable and overbearing. I'd suggest smoothing those choppy sections down. I don't think it would detract from the overall sense of "urgency" that is present in this theme.

Secondly, the drums - while being very well done in some parts - seem underdeveloped and lackluster in other parts. Again, at 00:26, the drum section gets really dull. The drums sound awesome at points like 00:39, and this sort-of makes up for the lackluster bits, but the whole piece could be vastly improved if you just work on the drums a little more.

Anyway, that's all the criticism I have for this piece. Aside from those two points, it's really very good. I hope you continue to develop it further.

Good job and good luck!

Thank you for the in-depth feedback! :)
I made some changes in the percussion in some of the spots you mentioned, but was unable to do much for the strings. I added some reverb to hide some of that choppiness you heard, but that's the best I can do with what I've got for sounds at the moment.

I've moved onto other music, so I don't think I will be making any more changes to this one.
