This is the beginning of a new series called the freestyle series. I have recently purchased a new Mii keyboard named AKAI MPK88, and its amazing. I got some other new equipment too, so i thought id put it to use and show what a potential live show now could be like. Since this is more for live shows, im still having difficulties with getting the quality of these live performance tests right so there might be some parts that sound weird. So heres what im doing for this series:
1) Controlling certain automation clips live while recording with my keyboard
2) Playing some type of vst or sound live
Thats all there really is to it. So heres the information on my first freestyle:
Automation clips being altered live:
-Frequency on Rhodes
-Frequency on Drums
-Delay on Drums

good from start especially
i was freestyling to this, the first part when the bass comes in it has a nice flow easy to rhyme along to it without much effort as the sound is kind of laid back, I remember from what stands out was "parkour on a car door, my par score far more than what they ask for". i stopped at 2 minutes but the part with the synth was too nice

Woah...
Love that bass...especially because it's live. The sound of that bass really reminds of some west coast music. Like the old school kind. It also gives a twist to the genre as if it was mixed with a little dubstep.
I also love some of the non-live elements like the little echoing blips and the voice that goes "ahhh...eehhh" occasionally. Although I love the bass, sometimes it can get a little too low to the point where it distorts and drowns out all sound (and I have a pretty decent sound system o__o") but that's a small issue. Great composition here fam!

Im liking this series
I really like the rhythm with this one, that bass is just outta this world, and those synths that come in around 2:30 are just straight rude man! After some smoke listening to this makes you feel like your in a video game!
