I never played this game, though I think I heard about it a long time ago. I heard the original song in level 13 of DarkFlameWolf's Descent Vignettes mission (for a classic 1995 game, Descent).
It reminds me of some of the little jingles they play on CBC (specifically Manitoba CBC, I was recently in Alberta and realized that they have different jingles depending on which province you're in).

The summary pretty much says it all... This song seems a little half-arsed, in my opinion. Therefore, you get a three. I was expecting so much more just from the bassline, too...
