Description:
This was a "remix" contest entry and winner for an electronic group named 3kStatic from Sony's AcidPlanet.com website. The direct link to the contest is: acidplanet. com/3kstatic (Please combine the spaces).
Basically, there was no original track. 3kStatic is known for their loops, so the artist provided some loops of a few guitar licks, arps, and synthesizers. Because you are required to use at least a few of their provided loops, I used a few of short guitar loops, an arp-like synthesizer, and the small bells.
However, the track's chord progression, main drums, and instruments are all originally composed and sequenced. Note that the guitar solo at 2:22 is an original guitar solo performed by my good friend, Forest Hughes. (If any of you are in need of an electric guitarist, please contact me and I will forward the message to him).
At first, I didn't expect this to be a contest-winning test, but apparently the 3kStatic crew really enjoyed it. They stated, "'Reborn' stands as a complete and original song created from the Evolver library. Original, sweeping and inspiring."
