At first I was just concentrated on making some cool new sounds for fun and for future projects, but I ended up making a whole song :D Did this in a few days so it still might be lacking some small detail from filling up the frequency spectrum. Enjoy!

I can see theres a lot of zero-bombing goin on here. Cant fuckin undestand why. If this is so crappy song that it deserves a zero, why dont you leave a comment, somethin constructive atleast so ill know where im going wrong. Or is it just to get your own songs to the top. Cant figure it out so help me out.

I have to admit this song is the shit :D

My review won't be as many stars as most of those seen here, but at least i'll leave some constructive feedback.

I have no knowledge of how much time you have been producing for, so this review is completely unbiased of any of your potential other tracks, and/or known skills of producing.

I'm sure a lot of work was put into this project, but from what I'm hearing its just a looped bass from Serum smacked on top of a DnB percussion loop with the occasional pad or SFX interrupting it.
In short, it seems cheap, and it lacks personality.

Panning is great when used correctly, but when overused it just becomes tiring to the ears, which unfortunately is what happened for me here. A tip for next time would be only to use harder panning on the building shortly before a drop.

I didn't really feel the "flow" of the song overall, and I couldn't tell where the intro became the buildup, or where the buildup transitioned into the drop. I certainly wouldn't be able to put time-stamps on them, which brings me to another point.
If you want your songs to be memorable, have some kind of melody or catchy arp etc. (yes, DnB can have melodies :p), and don't just put a bass over some percussions and call it a day, that approach will just make your track blend with everything else. If you want a memorable track, you gotta go off the mainstream way of creating the genre, or even making something where you don't even know what genre it is anymore (which is what I accidentally did once, oops), that means you've made something REALLY original, and possibly also something really great.

As for the whole of the song, the repetitiveness struck me the most. I know DnB doesn't generally yield much variation, but the good ones always have unique parts. It doesn't matter if it's the drop or a certain transition, some unexpected element (that isn't an almost interrupting SFX, which I unfortunately experienced a lot of in this track), something that really pulls the rug under the listener will help make your track more unique and stand out from the masses of generic DnB tracks out there. As soon as you begin making your own style of music, and if people can tell the difference between any other DnB track (or any other genre for that matter), and YOUR track, you know you've gone the right way. And if you listen to a lot of your work and think it's similar to something you've heard somewhere else, you might want to start thinking a little more outside the box. ;)

Whew, that was a lot of text. On the other hand, the drums were great to listen to, they introduced the classic DnB fast pace very nicely. If you made that drum-loop yourself, props to you!
I didn't have too many issues with the mixing and mastering either, the most reoccurring issue to me was the panning, it became disorienting and confusing after a while, and made me focus less on the music which is a big no-no.

But it definitely isn't below 3 stars in my opinion, i don't understand the zero-bombing you've been getting on this. Maybe people have just been listening to professional productions and thought this was really bad producing.

In my opinion, your track is definitely not bad, but it isn't something i'd favorite either, but you've got lots of potential, I'm sure. Just keep going, and listen to people like me, who use half an hour analyzing and reviewing a completely random song on Newgrounds, all while trying to sound really clever!
All jokes aside though, this isn't bad at all, i'd call it, for a lack of better wording, mediocre for now, but as time goes on you'll obviously improve, and all those zero-bombings will have been useless, hecking trolls.

That's my review, hope I could make up for all the random review-less bad ratings with this giant wall of text, and good luck on all of your future productions!

PS: JESUS CHRIST I just noticed after writing this review that this track is 7 years old. Oops!
Oh well, I'm not gonna let all that typing go to waste.

runing battle music

i'm thinking about making stick battles, so you can please let me use this song?

ZuneInc responds:

this reminded me of Madness

Which means it was amazing qoute"amazing"

ZuneInc responds:

Thanks man! :D

Sorry to be an ass..

The beginning was really good but around 1:29 you started to put a little too much sounds in a slightly random pace together. I recommend keeping it with the beginning then giving a sudden drop in sound then picking it up again with other sounds or at least with a different feel in it. Start slightly dark then come back with the feeling of heavy butt kickin. I'm not a professional but i hope this helps a little.
