Didn't keep track of time when making this. But I'll guess like 5 hours. 120 BPM. The chorus turned out alright. I can never seem to make a full song. I have a couple under the "song" format... but it's a lie. Additional details on blog (later).

Update: This is the first time I've listened to this with max volume. I need to balance some components. Consider this a work in progress. Also a loop remember.

Love from PabMo.

Pabmo I have some inperation for you.

Listen to this on youtube Mario Party Advance Passport setup. It sounds very similar to your kind of songs.

PabMo responds:

pretty happy little tune~

I was kinda torn over this one. I like it as a tune, a little jingle with a nice solid beat and such. The lead arpeggio is kinda soft, hard to hear. Drums are really heavy, which is nice for some songs - not really for this one. It's a little bit all over the place, which is okay, but very varied. kind of a hit or a miss with it. I'd like to see a bit more of an island-ish feel with this, so if you have any kind of steel drum sounds or a more acoustic-guitar reggae feel and it'll be great.

Carnival, kinda?

A very well-made loop indeed! Makes me feel like I'm at a carnival, for some reason.

It's very varied, even though it's so short. Both rhythmically and melodically, it changes a lot throughout the song. The feel of the song is fun, happy, and cheerful, and it does sort of sound like a video game loop.

At times it did feel a bit stripped, but not in a very bad way at all. It loops pretty well, but there seems to be half a beat missing, so it sort of skips a bit before looping.

Thanks for all these kind words Soapbubble. Glad you liked it! :) I hope the variation you mentioned is a positive aspect. The beat missing I think is caused by the NewGrounds player itself. The file seems to be consistent. The second time listening through I think it resolves. Thanks for the score/review!

Okay, then.

The song sounded tonal harmonic and happy. From the start everything worked well with everything else. I think that the part with the tangy thing alone with the drums and the part with the string alone could have been more interesting by adding more to it. This song changes a lot.
I felt that the snare should have come back after a while. I do get some speaker buzz on the kick when it's playing alone.

Thanks for the review (and so soon after I posted). The feedback is helpful. It does change quite a bit - I aim to avoid repetitiveness (I often fail). I guess I said speaker fuzz instead of buzz. How embarrassing. From PabMo.
