i use preaty expensive hardware.......as for software i use acid pro 4 to mix and shit.......
if you wana take a stab at a sampled beat you can probablu get away without paying anything........just dl the song maybe try and find some free drum kit sounds mix it in a free music program

btw why not try fl studio.......alot of the people on here use it
