I felt that the original was lacking some feeling, so I resampled it with different software, and used much more automation and whatnot to make it sound a bit warmer and emotional (in my opinion).

Feel free to use it, just let me know if you do.

Thanks for listening.

Very nice start; you set out the emotion right from the beginning. I like the pizzicato chords that just give it a quiet sense of pace above the longer sustained melody lines; although you couldn't really pick out many of the notes of the chords, that served to give it an almost lightly percussive effect.
I really liked the several pauses in this; they were incredibly effective in making even silence feel very powerful, and are execute well. Definitely fits with the title; when you do lose something you truly cared about, you do have that point at which everything external fades somewhat into abscurity and everything's a little fragmented.
1:11, really like the introduction of the soloish violin, gave a nice extra bit of colour to the warmer string background.

I think it's the atmopshere here which really is quite astounding; although there's been no major buildups or melodic changes, even by the second minute you still feel yourself engrossed, as opposed to thinking it repetitive. Definitely a highly emotional song, and very effective for it. Definitely keep it up, this has a lot of promise to it.

Good Job

-You're right. This does provoke emotion. I don't think it would with just the strings or the melody but having them mixed brings out some emotion. While it isn't a whole lot it does move me a little listening to it.

-At the beginning the suttle volume buildup was nice and needed. Listening to this at a higher volume sounds much better and adds to the atmospheric feeling it brings. I didn't mind that there weren't too many builds since it is structured nicely with many breaks in the string progression and melody. Just having those really had a nice calming effect.

Well this sure got 0-bombed...

Which I think is unfair, since this is actually a pretty good track.

I like the simple sparse string-work, and I like that background.... mallet/pizzicato/synth (any of those right? Ha) thing going on... Also, this is produced very well, with the samples sounding very good and technically speaking, I really can't fault you for anything here.

This is above what the average AP song is, and hopefully folks will realize that. Don't think that an 8 is too low a score; for me, that means I really dug the song, or thought it was really well-made.

In your case, that's both.

Yeah, I die a little inside every time I see a track dive from 4 or 5 to 2, regardless of whether it is my song or not.

Anyways, thanks for the review. And you're right, it is indeed pizz strings playing in the background.

Thanks for the kind words, and thank you for listening.
