allthough i can usually make music fairly quickly i have a pretty big issue with things repeating. (i.e 8 measures that sound the same over and over) anyone know some good advise?

I'm very positive that this is quite old now, but it's still good.
Like mentioned before, some Mastering would be good.
On the other note, compression would be good in the master channel to prevent that overdrive distortion from the piano.
You've utilized the Fruity Slayer Very well in this one.
As far as repetitiveness, variations of the same melody tend to work if you're not too tedious about it.
yes this is old and the compression idea is indeed a very good one.
now if i'm right that's the "fruity limiter" right? the one that makes it not overdrive?

Eh sorry advise is not my strong point but letting ppeople know when theyve done a fairly good job is, so great job. The best advise I can give is to explore and try new ways until finally you come up with what you want.
Btw I dont think its techno but I'm not good with genres either.
