I first made this song in 2005 using Reason. I always liked the feel and flow of the track, but was never really happy with the instrumentation, or overall execution.

Fast forward 5 years and I rediscovered the original work files... I could now try to do justice to my original vision, but this time using Logic Pro alongside a much better understanding of production techniques (comparatively speaking of course). I always envisaged it to be a somewhat gnarly track, with glitches and interesting aural interventions popping up here and there, but as I said, I never had the know-how too pull it off. But now, the song is a glutton of glitches, edits and um, more glitches - not in a disjointed IDM sense though (a style which I adore!), but more of a pop-y feel - IDM Light if you will, Glitch-Pop.

So anyway, without further adieu, here it is, as Rodin's Gates Of Hell were to him, this song is to me, my work of love, my Magnus Opus (well, not really... lol), I bring to you:

Mostly enjoyed

Pretty nice song!

The only change i would make, is the synth that enter in the 0:33 for something more 'darker'

mr-dogshit responds:

Cheers dude.

I hear what you're saying about the synth, and I have to say I kinda agree with you tbh, a darker sound would've fitted the intro a bit better - Anyway, it was from the original 2005 version and I guess I got too attached to it to want to change it though.

Maybe if I do another mix in another 5 years time I'll do that... I'll make it so dark that even Darth Vader would shit his pants (if he wears any...?)
