Forgive me, it's late, I'm tired. I will post some comments that are worth your time tomorrow.

In the mean time, enjoy my latest, most intricate dubstep track. I did my best to accomplish a professional sound. Alas, I fell short in the mastering some, and the file size was too large for NG. =`(

If you have any suggestions for me, feel free to lemme know what's up. I'm rather proud of this one because I discovered how to make a formant bass, found out how Skream made his bass, and created the first official segment of "metalstep" (You'll see what I mean when you hear it.) And, it's my submission for the semifinals of the Newgrounds Audio Deathmatch (I'm up against Gravey...he's gotten #1 songs on the All-Time Best Scoring in the weeks past, and his "Orchestral Theme 2" is currently one of the "Best of the Week"...great NG artist, I wish I had his mastering skills...oh well, wish me luck! =P).

Anyway, hope you enjoy this one!

Brilliant. I wish I had your skills. Around the 3 minute mark the song just amazed me. What program you use? The traditional piano combined with the metalstep in the beginning is also pretty majestic. 10/10

mr-jazzman responds:

Haha I wouldn't call this skill my friend. This, I believe, is inspiration handed to me right from God himself...I almost can't credit myself for it; each time I hear this thing, I feel like it's someone else's work lol...someone better. But, every once in a while, I suppose there's that inclination to make something worthwhile. This is by far the best song that I've ever been blessed to hear in my head...although I don't think it will be too long now before inspiration grants me something else that can compete! =) I (relatively speaking, of course...because, as I said, I was blessed this too from big guns upstairs) made this song with the two most important things in my sonic arsenal: FL Studio, and Superior Drummer. I'm really glad you liked the piano element and the metalstep, those were the two things I was pulling for to catch peoples' attentions! =D Thanks for the review man, it means a lot!

Bad

-ass. Was really hoping for the traditional bump-bump-bump-bump to break out during the metal-step sequence, but still sounded good with the dub beat. Get those mastering skills down! :)

mr-jazzman responds:

Lol not entirely sure what you mean by "bump bump bump bump," but I assume you mean like a breakdown or somethin. And trust me, I'm workin on making the metalstep more legit. Thanks for the review. And I'm trying my absolute best to get those mastering skills down man! It's difficult stuff, especially when you finish a project then realize that you should be letting something else different into the mix at a certain point...>sigh<...it's a frustrating job. You can check out my Robot Day submission to see what I mean (I like it, but the bass is kind of "buried," so to speak...and it just ended up that way, not by virtue of my own want =P). Anyway, thanks for the review man! =)

Good, but huh?

I liked it and i'd give you a 10, but if i recall the best dubstep, is more of a dark song/ this has more of a happy tune, which is good, but it usually doesn't feel right combined with dubstep .

mr-jazzman responds:

Well...First of all, I wouldn't call this necessarily a "happy" tune. It's not necessarily uplifting. I was aiming for something more majestic than the typical dubstep song. And second off, not all dubstep tunes are super dark. Check out tunes like "White Satin," "Clap Your Hands" or "Heavy Metal" on UKF Dubstep; these are tunes that do not fit the "dark, dirty" genre type for dubstep. It's all about what you hear. That being said, thanks for the review. It's really good that you brought this up btw, because I think a lotta people are confused at to what they should expect from dubstep. This song is certainly not the case.

mr-jazzman responds:

Haha I really don't know how to respond to this...and it's not because I don't find the humor in what you said...it more has to deal with the fact that what you said has a peculiar double meaning. If I respond in one way, I may miss completely what I planned on telling you lol.

So, instead of responding, I'm gonna just say thank you for the review man, I'm really glad you "liked" the song! ;)
