I know it's three and a half years after you submitted this, Cuzone. But I love this. Peaceful and awakens that youthful sensation of hope and just unadulterated happiness! People on Newgrounds tend to be very critical of others, and I suppose that's the point of the site; submitting work and people rating it and (hopefully) helping the artist with creative feedback.

I'm one of those people who can just sit back and listen, and enjoy! Why pick it apart? It makes me feel, so I feel. And this song most definitely plunged me into a Summer Holiday, even though it's December now. Awesome work. Gonna download it!

It's okay

There are some decent ideas here and there with this piece but the problem is the guitar feels like it is a collection of strums from a loop library that is re-organized. Plus some of your harmony choices (particularly in the middle section where things break down) don't work as well as they could. If you are going to use loops like this, and hey most people do in some form or fashion at some point, then at least really tweak the production to give the music as much of an organic feel as possible. As is, each strum is exactly the same volume and speed as the one before and after it. This feels very artificial. Maybe try adjust the volume so the strums don't sound so machine gun-like. Then change the speed of some of the strums as well. While you certainly create a summer-like mood.... this piece could have been much better in my honest opinion. Hopefully some of my suggestions will help!

Though I'd like to suggest something if I may.
I tink it would better if the guitar wasnt so staccato, in order to give this music more of a "yay, summer, we're free!" feel. It kinda sounds rigid at the moment. plus, you already have a quick instrument: the drums. no need for another c:
