Well, it's been a few weeks but I'm back! :)

I've been super busy learning Propellerheads' new software, Record, and how to get the most out of it. Ended up having to go out and buy a new computer just so I could use it. :P My shitty lil' laptop couldn't run the damn thing. Lol. :D

Anyways, I've been eagerly lapping up everything regarding Record and how to translate my Reason knowledge into Record and it's been quite succesful. It was a bit of a struggle at first as it just seemed like there was -so- much more to know, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I would -absolutely- recommend Record+Reason to anyone out there. If you just want to play or if you're a serious professional musician, this combo is superb.

As usual, please rate / review / enjoy!

Great Work

Been waiting for something new from you for a long time, you didn't send me a mail telling me about this one this time around either >.< anyway great work again this one has a far more toned down feel than most of your works in my opinion at least in the beginning, i like how the song really picks up at 1:40, your transitions in this are also vastly better than in some of your earlier stuff but for some reason i feel like this song lacks a bit of... i don't know to be honest it just feels like somethings missing from it.

It's missing singing. :)

It's my next step. And it's sure to be a huge challenge but I think it'll add that "missing element" that many people tell me they feel is lacking in my tracks.

Thankfully Record is all about the incorporation of live audio so I'm set to take that step. I just need to stretch my vocal chords and find a chick that can really belt it out to accompany me. :)

And in regards to no note, been busy with work-related stuff and haven't had much promotion time. Will be sendin' out my update this weekend to those who still haven't heard the freshness. :) Happy to hear you came and listened without one! :D

Dreams is the perfect title for this piece!

I did enjoy the bass, very moving and catchy! You're still the best DJ on Newgrounds, and this new song is a definite proof of it!!!!

Very relaxing.

This is some nice work. Very calming for me, especially since school's is getting harder for me, and I need some nice music to listen to. Very well executed, and I can only say that you sir, are a music making ledgend.

durn responds:

:) Thanks Autoslayer. I hope the Legend of Durn ends well! ;)

nice

Very cool song. I think Reason has the most intuitive interface out of any DAW out there. I was using Logic and it was talking about sends and inserts and stuff like that, and it made no sense to me. When I started using reason, actually seeing the how the cable connections were routed, it makes perfect sense now. I hope to become a power user of Reason!

durn responds:

Damn skippy. I went to the Propellerheads Producer's conference in Toronto a few months back and was delighted to hear the guys refer to their product as a DAP instead of DAW. Digital Audio Playstation instead of Workstation is how they were painting it - I'd have to say I fully agree.

It's incredibly intuitive and you can see/hear results instantly when playing around with cables, just like with a real synth. God, I love Reason. :D

Good to see I'm not alone! :)
