Tight!
Solid writing hindered by some pretty bad sounding instruments.. no offense.. Dude find a better program and your horizons will expand immensely. Would love to hear a remake in the future though! <>,..,<>RAWR
In this piece I've tried to create a techno style piece from non-synthetic instruments.
This was done in sibellius and the recording you are listening to is the playback from the program. This short piece was scored for the flute, oboe, horn, trombone, drum set, piano, violins, viola and cello.
I hope you enjoy listening.

Thanks! I'm trying my luck on FL studio, it's kinda hard to get the grasp of it though.
Well
There are a few good programs for techno out there. Fl Studio and Reason are the 2 most popular imo, so you should get one of those if you want to start making real techno. It's extremely confusing at first, but watch a few tutorials on Youtube and you'll quickly get the hang of it :).
The song itself is actually pretty good for sibellius. I used it at school and it's horrible >.>
Good luck in getting a new program :)
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it :)
The sounds seem very weak
The melody and rhythms are good just work on the sound quality. Maybe try and use different Drum kits, and generators. I think you could make this much better that way
I don't have any other programs other than sibellius (which is a good program for composing but has very bad sounds) can you please suggest how I can get some?
Concept is nice
You're concept is fine but, what makes techno....well..techno...is technologically developed/modified instruments. Organic instruments have a VERY difficult time doing what 'techno' traditionally does.
Of course that's true, but my task in music class is to create something out of the ordinary, thus this was created. But that can't be the only reason this piece deserved a 5/10 from you?
I have a question, what kind of programs can I use to create original electronic music? I've heard of programs such as 'acid' but all you do on that is plonk extracts of tunes and beats that arent your own into the timeline.
Thanks.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
