This was a challenge for me since I mostly mix metal and techno. I've had experience with orchestral elements in my metal songs in the past, but never a complete orchestral piece. So, this was a good learning experience for me. I enjoyed every minute of making this. And, I hope you enjoy what I did with it.
A couple things to note, I put in a little cool thing at the end, you can hear the music box's gears wuring(?) while it's playing, if you were wondering what that sound was, and the original MIDI (that I nearly completely rewrote, since it was very different and, sometimes wrong/incorrect) went for an extra repeat, and I liked it, so I kept it in there.
Enjoy!

Awesome

The best version i have heard

Aslan-Emanuel responds:

Thanks, dude. I'm still not happy with it not totally sounding like I have a $20,000 recorded orchestra and fucking amazing organ, but I put a lot of work into it, and I'm glad it doesn't totally sound cheap and like I threw it together in 20 minutes...okay, maybe it does kind of sound like that. Lol.
Thanks for reviewing!

this is...

incredibly awesome, 10 out of 10! I love this song, and the movies were great too!

Aslan-Emanuel responds:

Sweet. Thanks, dude. Even though I didn't make the movies or have any involvement in them whatsoever. But I am happy they used my song. I mean, in a Kevin Bacon animation!

Good..but..

You did a really good job copying it...but its still a copy. Its obvious you know what you're doing, so perhaps some of your own work? But its a good copy, gave you high score.

Aslan-Emanuel responds:

Thanks! The reason I'm still doing covers, is because I'm still in training. I want to make sure I can make something good (or, rather, know -how- to make something good) before I actually try. So, if I can make something comparable to something I admire, then I'm confident that I could do almost as good with something I made, myself.
I have a few more cover projects in mind that I want to do. And, I need to catch back up with myself in the writing/composing department before I try to make an original orchestral piece.
Thanks for reviewing!

good but....

need to work on the organ a bit i like the chorus in the background and the bells sounded perfect, but the drumbs and the organ seemed a bit lost. nice work on the music box sounded just like the original, whirling noise and all. 5/5 and 10/10

Aslan-Emanuel responds:

Well, there's practically nothing I can do about the organ (trust me, I tried, and I know exactly what you're talking about...the organ was my most favoritest thing ever), and it was the best one that I had, so I didn't replace it. And the drums aren't conventional orchestral drums. So, once I get better samples, I'll update it. Plus, I'm hoping on using a real* choir, too.
*Real meaning real people, whether I record twenty people, or just myself twenty times.
But, overall, thanks for the review. Your PM scared me for a bit. ;)

Beautiful......

Absolutely beautiful!! I really love that opening with that music box!

Aslan-Emanuel responds:

Thank you!
