Pink Vs. Black
When I read the title, "Uphill Battle" I thought to myself "What would kind of battle would be best for it?". Then suddenly it all rushed to me at once!!... I saw the pink panther (oldish cartoon hipster) having a battle of the bands against a group of black panthers... When I'm writing this it makes no sense what-so-ever, but I just thought you should know the first thing that came into my head.
Ha haha ha! That would be sweet, if I wasn't so lazy I would make a music video like that in flash. Thanks for the feedback man!
Jazzy, but not jazzy enough...
I'll admit, I'm picky. This is more cool jazz than funk in my book, which is one of the only reasons I've rated it as low as I did. As jazz goes, it has more of a loose jam feel, which in my opinion is a bit of a distraction more than anything. I little improv is good, there's just too much of it here.
Thanks for the feedback, I admit it is a bit misclassified as funk, but we're just a two highschool age kids hopped up to the eyeballs on weed pills and various other substances having a hell of a time doing improvisational music, I can relate however to you thinking that it is distracting at times. I appreciate the review, Thanks.
