Electronic - Industrial

Author Comments

I haven't submitted any music for a while. Much of that has to do with the lack of attention, so I assumed that I was terrible at writing music (or at least for the NG audience) . I had given up on writing and almost sold all of my equipment until my roommate asked me to write some stuff for a small band project. Nonetheless, when he heard my stuff, he encouraged me to write again and to join the Paradigm project.

So this is the first piece I've written in a while, was a bit rusty pulling out the old FL Studio tricks. Hope you enjoy it, but this isn't the final version. Alas, it still needs guitars and vocals. But I really need some good critiquing, and not as much on the volume levels (though still greatly appreciated) as on the structure of the song in general.

So please, please, please comment. BTW, is industrial correct for a techno-rock type song?

What's A Word?

I love the melodies, the melodies are great along with the deep impact of all the bass, strings and even guitar. I really dig this song. The only problem I have is it holds onto a very slow-paced, trancy feel throughout the song. I don't know if it's because the drums aren't powerful enough? But I listen to industrial like Crombichrist and such; this has the qualities of industrial music but it's got a bit more ambiance to it it so I'd definitely put this in a misc section.

It's interesting.

The melody is very deep and catchy, however, you might have added a bit more compressors than needed, some beats sound muffled.

And no this wouldn't be industrial. I would suggest miscellaneous.
