Feelin' the groove~

Choice track. I refrained from posting full versions because few people have my attention span to the listen to the specifics, just to let you in on my insight on my opinion of this place, haha. So.. on to the track.

Intro has a very mysterious feel to it. The white-noise sweeps add much to the atmospheres, and the sound effects have great placements. Bass stabs are very deep and full. Choirs are quite nicely done. Build up into your main beat is very nice. Sorta disappointed with the drop though. I expected some full-on harmonic chords instead of that rising and falling synth. String chord progressions would definitely accompany the bass stabs that you have placed much better.

Break into next section was nice. Beat has to change up some more though. You have to get that break rolin' even more! An idea is to add some more shuffle to it by use of hats or another break side-chained by the Amen. From here one, it sounds predictable and maintains basic beat format. Variations will hold attention.

From 4:20 onward, I felt that that would have been better placed after the first drop, and you could have lead on with that. That seems to sound like the driving force of this track. I was more interested in the outro than much of anything else, actually. This a case of "less is more". Sub bass, sound effects, added accenuations and hats/rides, and that beat did it for me. That was the next level right there, but it was cut so short.

Critically, I would move some sections around, and take some things away so that it can sound more together and more appealing. A little more variation in the beat goes a long way, not saying that you don't have variation in your synths and fx. You do, and it's great. It's just we as humans are more interested in the beat, and most times, the beat becomes the "instigator", shall we say, in fast-paced tracks like this one here.

Otherwise, a great job. An 8 for points mentioned above, and 5/5. As for the mix, I can't quite comment since I'm feeling quite sick at the moment and my ears are muffled so my frequencies are out of whack. From what I can hear though, it sounds pretty good. I don't have much to complain about it.

Awesome job.

Cheers.

Hey, cool!

This song really made me feel good, it's energetic and happy, but chill at the same time. I've been sitting here doing other stuff with it looping for a while, it's great!
