Inspired by the fantastic works of Celer, particularly their "Continents" album.

Here's a little drone piece I cooked up this afternoon. There's a story behind why I started writing it, but it eventually got away from that theme and took off into what's drizzling into your ears :) Think of it as a sequel to my other drone tune, "Someday I'll Show You A Beautiful World," if you've heard that.

This is drone music, which is a clever excuse to have the same thing repeating over and over again, but I think it sounds quite nice. Something to relax to, think to, sleep to?

Something's missing

It doesn't have to be much. I think some light bright distant drums would do the trick. But except for the repetitiveness, this is really relaxing; a great sequel to "Someday I'll Show You A Beautiful World".

A 10 for nice ambient music. -1 for extreme repetitiveness.

Lamplighter responds:

Hmm... you know what, I'm going to go back and remake this. I'll shorten it up, throw in some variation, and probably mess around with some subdued percussion.

Thanks for the review, I hope I'll have the edit done today :)

So... the melody is nice, yes, but by... about 5 minutes I began thinking that that was enough.

When you say repeated, you certainly mean repeating.

Haha. I think that you could use a little variation possibly. Maybe a changeup every 32 measures, and then back, and then back?

I dunno, but 8 minutes of the same riff? *Whistles*

Lamplighter responds:

Yep... that's drone music for ya. I'll try to stick away from stuff this repetitive in the future, because I do agree with you. This needs variation. Eight minutes is going a tad bit overboard.

Thanks for listening, whether it was painful or not!
