My Tribute To The Night I Lost My Life has been a work in progress for me for about 3 months now.
I finally finished it and I think I'm happy with it.

*EDIT*
I thought it might be prudent to explain what this song is about (something I really don't do very often as I feel it is important for the listener to picture their own story to go with the music).
This song began life as a simple piano riff (heard at the beginning of the song) that was shelved for a while.
Then one night my girlfriend of the time and I had a massive series of rows over a party she went to, as she did some pretty darn stupid things, so I revisited this riff and turned it into a song about that evening and how I felt.

The structure roughly goes:
Paranoia\Wondering (intro) - Disappointment/Sadness/Em o bullcarp :P - Anger (2:29ish) - Arguments (3:09ish) - Sadness once again.

I would love to know if you guys can picture this?
and I also I think it would be fun to hear what you guys picture in your heads when you listen to this.
Write your ideas below! :)

Enjoy
Steve B

This is really nice.

There aren't many people that could give this a score lower then a 4 without being guilty for the rest of there lifes. I love the piano! Keep it up!

This piece means a lot to me, it's a tribute to a very personal event that happened to me and it's always nice when people enjoy something you've poured your heart and soul into.

Brilliant

Amazing work. I would have scored it higher if it weren't for the clipping. Man, a song like this deserves to be played in a band.

I'm nitpicking here. I might have wanted a little more pause or delay around 2:30. Also, the transition at the end could have used more drama.

steveori responds:

Hi there!
Thanks for the review!

The clipping annoyed me greatly too, it's actually partly the fault of the VSTi's I use, they're free and as such aren't perfect, for example the flute and oboe start clipping when they hit the higher notes. :(
Oh well, I shall have to invest in some higher quality VSTi's if ever get the money! :D

I wish I could play half of these instruments then I would record it live!

Glad you enjoyed the track. :)

Cheers
Steve
