warning!! If you are wide awake, don't listen, you will probably get bored!!!

I'm not sure if everyone has it, but every once in awhile I go into a state of trance when playing piano, and my eyes are open but i see nothing. I just stare blankly ahead, maybe my bodies moving maybe not, I can never remember. It's a natural state not educed by anything other than music, though it may feel differently :). I created this song while in this state, not really paying attention to what I was doing, just playing. I call it Piano meditation, because listening back onto it, I just feel as if it was best listened to while in a state of meditation or in a trance...maybe even half asleep. I don't feel this piece should be listened to closely as it is very repetitive in that left hand and is supposed to make you relaxed, not interested.

Ed likes this one alot!

After watching Cowboy Bebop for the seventh time, this sounds such an appropriate melody for that anime. This too me has a kinda jazz taste to it, or is it just me brainwashed from The Seatbelts . . . don't matter i still like this piece. Very moving improv(if it is one?), which is wonderfully fortunate that you captured this, also why it is bad as well, cuz its kinda a one time deal, unless you remember it and keep practicing and adding stuff to it. Much like how Lil Wayne doesn't write his lyrics down and just raps. Anyone can play a simple melody on a piano and call it an improv, but what you have played is called music, not just a bunch of notes and chords that weren't read off of a score. But sound in all its natural awe touching the soul. Good job, music from the
sub conscious sounds awesome. 105D

yes I just played over a Cm9 chord the entire time, but i went outside the key every once in awhile cause i didn't even really look at what i was playing or know where my hand was half the time, it was more of a feeling response to improv than a technical response. Alot of the quick licks were blues licks that came out from playing alot of blues, so i see the jazzyness in there with all the raised 4ths, glad to see ya noticed. I play this song alot now when i am in the mood, i think it just gets better and better, but if i tried to paly this exact version again it wouldn't be the same. Although they are one time shots, it's the only way to get them.

It's... Wow.

Repetitivity is no matter. It's just beautiful to listen to this. I myself fall down in a trance. Music does not need noises and autotuned celebrities to sound perfect in any way.

You, sir, you made my day with this.

LordBAMF responds:

That is good to hear, thank you.
