I recently wrote a play for a 24 hour theatre festival, this was one of the characters in the play. Enjoy the a cappella.

I don't have million dollar clothes or millions of fans,
And I still drive to gigs in my mom's mini-van.
I don't own platinum, don't even know what it is,
And a grill will only happen if the pope gives my butt a kiss.
Ladies don't seem to flock to my cock like they're supposed to,
And I'm opposed to rapping about things I only see on movie shows dude.
I do not own a gat, or a gun, or a bat.
I will not hunt you down going brap brap brap.
I have a job as a mechanic, because my music doesn't pay.
And I usually panic as soon as I trot upon the stage.
And I do know depression, and I have felt loss,
I have not learned a lesson every time I fell off.
And even though I'm not black life ain't been no crystal stair,
So don't call me wack because of my utmost skin layer.
What I don't get is how all of these sheeple blindly take it in,
Putting the money in the pockets of artistic villains.
It makes me sick to see these actors on the tv,
Pretending to represent the art that means so fucking much to me.
So fuck grindin up in a club, gold chains, and fuck cars,
Fuck light shows, fuck clothing lines, fuck being a movie star.
Hip hop is my muse, my vice, and my life.
And before I sell out I'll stick myself with a knife.
Cause this is my passion and I'll preach it like a pastor.
Cause I am a poet, and not an actor.
