I just got owned...

by your kick-ass music yo! It's not every day that I come across such a masterpiece. I wish I could give you more in the way of a proper critique but I love every bit of it. Although it would have been interesting to hear if you started it off softer without the drums in there right off the bat and drop them in at around 00:30 but that's just me nitpicking. Keep up the good job man you music is the kind of stuff that makes lazy bums get up and go make the world a better place. lol

Amazing as usual

Hey Peter,

remember how I was talking about the Mass Effect soundtrack and how you should take a look at it?

If I didn't know any better, from this song, I would have said you already did...

Either that, or you secretly did that soundtrack!

Dude, your stuff is nothing short of professional. Beyond incredible.

It's looking like I'll have some chances to do some movies again this semester, (probably not like Transfer the Package though) so it goes without saying that I'll be looking through your stuff first.

Keep up the amazing work man.

love the percussion!

the orchestra really adds to the dramatic effect. your music reminds me of Danny Elfman's stuff! I've gotta download this stuff! you're amazing!

suggestions:

The bass drum heartbeat phrase things at the beginning would be even better if they were ear-bleeding loud

once again, i love the low brass parts, but it might be even cooler if you added chords onto the brass rather than just with the background synths.

To add to the sci fi affect of the whole song, the motor background synth could pan a bit more, or even have a chorus effect on it. I just feel it could be a bit more fxed, u know?

Just gotta say that i LOVE this piece. You're going to be a great soundtrack writer (or already are one) so keep it up! what program do you use?

PeterSatera responds:

Yeah, I agree it could do with more panning from one side to the other, that would give it more a dynamic edge. I should get you to review my stuff before i release it, you seem to be able to pick out the stuff I forget really easily!

Im using fruity believe it or not, just with a ton of VST's! heehee. I tend to use nexus for synths. Im looking to expand though, :)

Thanks again for your reviews, they are always a really interesting read.
