Boy, I sure likes me some misc. genre.

So, there's a palace in the sky that only appears at night (because it's made of stars, no doubt), and it's home to, uh, y'know, the...Space...King...and his Space...Dog...

IDK, guess you just have to be there lol (oh wait -- you can't! Mwahaha!).

No real inspiration for this one as usual -- I think I goofed on the transition coming out of the progressive fanfare bit...and going in lol. It seemed like an almost forced-in part (I've heard of writer's block, but musician's block? Hmmm...).

BTW the Space Dog shoots lasers out of his mouth when he barks.

Great

I think its fine the way it is, its a very happy sorta relaxing song especially after a stressful day its helped me be happier several times.

That's wonderful! Thank you for listening!

Could be a bit faster

The whole time the song was playing I thought: "It could be a bit faster". So yeah, in my opinion the song should pick up a bit after the intro, in my opinion it would sound better.

But the song has a nice and indeed very spacey atmosphere, which fits nice to your description of the "Space King and his Space Dog", heh.

Also, towards the end the main melody gets a bit repetitive, so I think you should try to add some variations of it into the song.

Birdinator99 responds:

I hear you on the variation -- my next song should be better with that.

Thanks for your review, and I'm glad you liked the Space Dog lol.

Regal fanfare

A very royal welcome from this piece, as we are hailed in to fanfares, synths and bells. That certainly makes for an interesting combination of instruments that gives this piece a particular feel of being something that has been created by royal edict.

I think that with how it started out, I wasn't expecting this, until the fanfares came along, up until then, it just sounds like it could be something to do with Legend of Zelda and so forth. With the way that you've presented it, I quite like it and can see it being deployed for any medieval sort of flash project, so there will be artists out there searching for an ambience of that kind, so good luck to you with looking for people to use your work.

That's great man -- I actually thought you wouldn't like this one! Guess it's all good though :).

Cool piece of work there

Had my speakers turned up quite a bit so the bass was really loud on this piece of awesomeness, very creative.

Drums: Lots of bass pedal kicks and then some simple drumming before the whole beat comes together.

Synth: Pretty darn cool, sounds quite snazzy. :D

Bells: Pretty nice effect.

Overall: A very beautiful piece of work you did here, very nice job here.

3/5

I think the transition between the opening melody and the 'city music," as joshsouza described it, was a bit drastic. I recommending working that out a bit. I suggest either creating a bridge or changing the 'city music' to be more rhythmically similar to the other part.

Also, it seemed a bit repetitive. It's a calm piece, which is nice, but I think you should have made slight alterations to the two parts as the song progressed to build it up.

Thanks for your review!

I totally get where you're coming from. This one seemed to be a bit rushed compared to what I usually do, but I appreciate your feedback.
