The original coupling for this song was piano and cello, but I couldn't get a sound that wasn't a bit "offensive" to the ears. I wanted this piece of death and sorrow to go down smooth, and it just wasn't happening. I like the new instrument pair better, and it almost reminds me a bit of something from Zelda. Overall, I'm proud of the way this turned out, and how the melodies compliment each other.
And for those who we're curious, L'annientamento is Italian for The Annihilation.

I have to admit that I truly adored this! It really does remind me of songs that play during a heart-wrenching scene. My favourite part has to be around 1:20 where the beat picks up slightly. It's good that you're proud of this piece! You did a fabulous job.
