Remastered version under my new alias here:

Release Me ft. Julia

Drifting, surrounded by time
Never look back at those mountains we climb
Release me, from the pain that I feel
Carry me from everything that is real

EDIT: Clearer, tighter vocals!

I graduated in the same class with Julia in highschool. Little did I know she's such a talented singer!

I started this song this morning, she came over, worked on the song together, and I finished it after she left.

She doesn't have a website yet or any other musical works on the internet, but hopefulley she will eventually.

Anyways, We put a lot of effort into this so give it a listen!

P.S. I'm working on an updated version of this track, and will get brand new vocals with a new chorus and everything. It will be ten times better, simply because it will have more than 1 days work put into it from start to finish. YOU ARE NOT PREPARED

Very Good..

There really awsn't anything bad in this song, very good beat. The vocals were great(even though i dont like vocals) you've changed my mind about vocals.
Nice steady pace and its one of your more serious songs. Listening brings back a couple of memories. btw nice flute in there. keep on making music my friend.

A bit immature, but fine.

Well, Happy 2010 Brett!

Your trance song(it is trance, or is it dance?) is good, but not all the way. I like the synths and especially love the voice of Julia... Releassse meeeee.... You definitely have to use more of her voice in your next songs.

Now about the mistakes: I just don't like the kick/bass line. It's good in the beginning while it's just PURE, but when other background noises come, it somewhat fades away or so... Even though you did as I hoped, added some "harder" beats just after Julia's first words at 01.22, it still didn't do it. Maybe a deeper kick or more purity, dunno. But it just wasn't what I hoped for.

There's also that thing that you used mostly the same kick/bass throughout the whole song in the background, why not use some other ones next time. Make it more "mature", more specific, detailed, more sophisticated. Try to, just try to make a song with 2 or 3 sections, which are mostly different from each other, but when connected, acts like a whole new thing. You've heard my songs, they're nothing good as we all know, but I still like them cause they have many different parts. So yeah, if you wish to try, give it a go, maybe the result isn't bad at all, cause you have a lot better skillz at this than I do.

What else... I can't think about anything else at the moment. When using Julia as a singer, try to divide yourself from everything else, be special. Don't use plain background music and let Julia do all the work(you didn't do it on this song, but I'm just offering help).

Well good luck! This was my review.

Song is great, I like the chord stab riffs in the middle. The chord progression is also very pro, not really used in songs normally submitted NG. The only real reason I am giving a 9 instead of 10 is that the timing on the vocal part is SLIGHTLY off, making it sub-optimal (yes I do know you only worked on it for a little while :P). Also, the instrumental part during the first vocals seemed a tiny bit too busy or jumbled, I'm not exactly sure. It is good, just needs a bit of touching up in some places. As another note, the FX on the vocals are just right.

Hope the criticism helps make an even MORE epic song XD. It's just that I feel that a review that says "GREAT - ROFLCOPTER w00tw00t" isn't really helpful...

Krank responds:

Yeah, we were only able to do about 5 takes on the vocals due to time constraints, next time we will get absolutely clear, beautiful vocals

Awesome! :)

A bit too much echo on the vocals at times but she's definitely got a very nice range. :)

Reminds me of old happy hardcore styles, slowed down a bit.

Can't find any technical fault beside the few spots where it seemed there was too much echo. I really like your snare/kick roll that you use as transition, very nice. :)

Thought at 3 minutes in or so the pads could've been a bit more melodic, seemed kinda plain until the lead melody came in. Great stuff, dude. :)
