This song is dedicated and in loving tribute to my dearly departed dad. You'll be missed, pops.
+ R.I.P. Andy Durnford : November 11, 1950 - December 4, 2009 +
I started this song after returning home from Florida where my father had been staying. I gotta say, it's a relief to have a creative outlet such as music for helping to channel grief and the other miseries of life. I would definitely not feel the way I do about life if not for my music.
I got the intro and chorus/verse done before I left for a vacation to St. Maarten and created the bridge and fleshed out the rest of the track when I returned, more relaxed and not so crazy. This is probably my most full-sounding and properly eq'd piece to date. Have spent the past 2 days almost solid working on it to get it how I wanted.
Kinda sad, but uplifting melody -- definitely catchy though. :d As usual, made entirely in Reason 4.0.The intro is definitely daft punk influenced though I came up with it quite by accident when I was messing around with the sequencer in Thor.
The two organs are courtesy of the Electro-Mechanical Refill pack that's currently free for download for registered Reason users on the propellerheads website -- it's sick! Tried a little something different with the drums this time, I'm loving rex files.
As usual, please rate/review/enjoy. :)

Not Bad
Not bad, nice and calm throughout and has a good enough tune to keep me interested in the song, even though I like more upbeat things this was still nice to listen to, good job :3
thanks bomberino :D

lol, thanks man. it took me a looooong time. I'm more of a melodic person as well so learning how to layer beats took me a while. keep at it though, dude, cause your melodies are great. if you can learn to master both you'll be a force to be reckoned with! :)

Very Excellent
This is a great tune, it has alot of different sounds, but they all seem to fit in very well.
Keep up the good work.
