This is an old song from 2004 that I found lying around, spiffed up a bit and it shines like new!

Painstakingly done note by note as I recall..

It's not very long, but it is based of the old celtic tune "Planxty Lady Wrixton" of which there are many incarnations.. song has no copyright either as it was written hundreds of years ago so no issues there :)

enjoy!

Medium: fl studio

*edit* I took the "knocking" noises out as evil-dog calls them as some people seemed not to like them - it's supposed to be a riverdance tapdance effect in the background.. if you want to hear that version you can hear it here:

aand I decided to update all my errors - it sounds now like it should have when I made it :) - if you wanna hear the old version before the update click here:

enjoy!

Enchanting :P

Remakes of old Celtic tunes really appeal to me when done correctly (i.e. not whacked to death with the cliche stick) and I think you've done a fine job. The instruments sound fantastic, especially the one at 1:31. Good Job

Chronamut responds:

thanks man - it still doesn't live up to the original - but I really didnt feel liek ading the billions of inflections on the instruments that they did :P

..altho maybe I'll fix that up in the future :P

thanks for the review!

It sounds good, but not my taste..

I'll hand it to you, good sir, the instruments in this song sound beautiful and clear. It all sounds... different for some reason, though. Never really heard anything like this. Its unfamiliar, and the song just doesn't... I don't get it. It sounds nice, but I don't like it much. I am going to give you a 9 though, it sounds like you put a lot of work into this piece.

Chronamut responds:

hey man at least you're honest - you're prolly just not used to it - the notes are also more "natural" so that it doesnt sound midi-perfect note wise :)

and yes a lot of effort was put into this song.

thanks for the review!

Nothing like a good...

Celtic tune to brighten up your day! Makes me want to visit one of those medieval festivals and have a pint of ale haha. 5/5 10/10

P.S. - Stop leaving great songs like this lying around, don't hold out on us! ;)

Chronamut responds:

Thanks man! Although the footsteps throughout the song are sort of starting to get on my nerves so I am going to take them out and submit an updated version :)

and yeah man I got a treasure trove of unfinished stuff lying around hehehe :)

thanks for the review! :)

Chronamut responds:

Yes I originally wanted to give it a more natural feel and not something that was so perfect it felt midi-esque :)

thanks for the review!
