This is an old song from 2004 that I found lying around, spiffed up a bit and it shines like new!
Painstakingly done note by note as I recall..
It's not very long, but it is based of the old celtic tune "Planxty Lady Wrixton" of which there are many incarnations.. song has no copyright either as it was written hundreds of years ago so no issues there :)
enjoy!
Medium: fl studio
*edit* I took the "knocking" noises out as evil-dog calls them as some people seemed not to like them - it's supposed to be a riverdance tapdance effect in the background.. if you want to hear that version you can hear it here:

aand I decided to update all my errors - it sounds now like it should have when I made it :) - if you wanna hear the old version before the update click here:

Nice!
I always loved celtic songs. I think more fantasy RPGs should use that style, this reminds me of Final Fantasy IX. It kind of surprised me when the song ended a bit abruptly like that but it's nothing major. The composition is really nice. I'd really like to hear this live played by dressed up people in a castle court. lol. The number of votes for this song is crazy, 400+ already! :O
lol it was nearing 400 before it was even featured :P
as for the abruptness - I think I eventually got sick of working on the song in the past and just submitted whatever I had- the full song would have probably been about 5 minutes..
glad you liked the song!

Not bad.
the balancing of the instruments seems a bit odd, and the flute is a bit weird, and when it hits the high notes borderline annoying. The song itself is very well done, with a good melody and fitting instrument choice, but the mixing needs more work.
yes I suppose it could use some tweaking - it was done abck in 2004 and all.. I will see what I can do :P
I don't really notice the gratingness of the flute myself.. it is very breathy though.
thanks for the review!
