Ahh, good ole SNES music. Gotta Love it.

If too loud, I will revise and soften the sounds a bit. Just ask and you shall receive. : )

Again, more right than wrong.

You did a wonderful job with the song, but there in still lies defining the beats a bit more crisply, which would grant you a much better score, IMO. This is your better version of the two, hands down. Remember, the sounds have to blend together to work together. As for what I would like to see... Perhaps a bit more imagination near the ending of the main loop. Otherwise, great work.

Possibly better than the actual game music?

I agree with the guy below, that this is a perfect rendition of the same music used in the game. I listened to your second version of the same, and this one appeals to me more.

You know what they say; if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Or at least, in your case, leave both up since tastes vary.

A perfect rendition...

...of a classic song. Certainly, I don't think you should tweak it at all. I don't believe it's too loud. I think this song was designed to be a loud song. I always find myself turning the sound up when I get into a boss battle. This track makes the battles seem more heated as it has quite an aggressive feel to it, and I love how you used the trumpets. :D Great job!!

jamesadalpiaz responds:

Ya, I fiddled with the trumpets for a while to make 'em sound just right.
Lol, I didn't know other people turned up the volume on boss fights, I always do. More epic that way. : )

Well Done

This arrangment perfectly captures the action and intenseness of the origial. In my opinion, this is just as good as the song in the game.

jamesadalpiaz responds:

Thank you!
