This song was definitely a more personal piece in regards to the loss of life, love, and sanity.

How you may ask? Well I'm not a faith-bearing kind of guy and I was married to a girl who claimed as such. So her god give-eth and take-eth away. Always looking over everyone. Kind of like a stalker that you have to get used to or something because 'he is everywhere'. Creepy.

Adalee would be my first daughter and she was about four months old when she passed away. So I don't think I could really like someone that's OK with killing babies and things of that degree. There's a whole philosophy behind that do but religious discussions tend to be irritating anyway.
