I have a friend who really likes working in RPG Maker XP. He's the one who requested me to do the song "Fancyness".

Well, apparently he's engaging himself on a serious project this time, even asking members of his otaku/gamer forums for help creating the story and other little details. So, I've taken up the task (more like, the challenge? XD) of writing the OST of his game... or as much of it I can compose. As you might have guessed, "Zealo" is the main character of the game.

This song was also meant to be used as a World Map theme (even though I DID have the name "Zealo's Theme" planned out when I started composing it), but the way it turned out it could be also used at some reaaaaaaaally important or triumphant event in the game. My friend said it was a cool song, but that it lacked a climax... But being a loop for RPG Maker XP, it could become tiring if the "calm -> climax -> calm -> climax" cycle repeated itself over and over... so we thought I could make a climatic 2nd part of the song (which I'll do sometime later) that won't repeat itself and will fit the game's event.

On another note, don't blame me for starting out with the same freakin' chord as Endless Plains. I didn't do it on purpose, maybe I unconsciously REALLY like that chord, but don't know that I do xd

How ironic. In an other RPG-Maker XP game (but in german) this is the worldmap theme of the world "zeal". Nevermind. In fact i really like this song.

........

What a coincidence; I found this song while looking up a theme for the map.

Awesome

And I fully agree, for game tracks it's all about having varying degrees of the same melodic structure. I like this because it's leading up to something so I'm eagerly anticipating the action sequence :)
