Full title : Beats and Broadswords ( Trapped In an RPG)

I know it's been a while since I've released something. Life has been one crazy rollercoaster after the next. It seems like I get back on track just to just to jump off the rails again.

BUT it seems things may have settled down. I've got a whole bunch of catching up to do. Albums to send out ( that are way over due) and an album to finish.

So, here's a little gift for you all. I did this at work actually. Since I'm at a job working an overnight 12 hour shift. There is plenty of time to get some music done. :D

I hope you enjoy this one, I had alot of fun making it.

Story:

Sometimes I like to ponder what would happen if I were suddenly sucked into the game world of whatever game I am currently playing. At the moment this happens to be a very popular RPG from Bioware(TM)

I'm not talking about gettin sucked in as one of the characters. I mean myself. Complete with lack of magic or fighting abilities.

Here is that thought process in song form lol.

This right here....

Is what inspired my style, Nubbin. The way you seamlessly combine orchestral music and IDM is beautiful, almost impossible to put into words.

It's got a strong, powerful feel to it, yet is also smooth and hip. Amazing, don't change a thing.

nice.

very catchy. hooked me really fast.

Right on

I like how you took Epic Classical and crossed it in with an industrial DNB feel. The intro is perfect. The song restarted while I started writing this and i didnt even notice. The flow here is spot on. This is the kinda music that I wish they would have put in the game Oblivion....... Overall Awsome Song Man, Im Deffinately downloading this one. A well Deserved 5/5 10/10

Thanks for the awsome review on my song 5th Element Tribute.

My gosh.

I really dislike you sometimes. I go off, and make a song, that I think is slightly good. Somewhat like yours, something that could be considered a good song.

Then you make this and I feel like crap.

Thanks. Thanks a lot.

I appreciate this song a lot, it's an epic piece of work, but I still don't like that everything you make outshines almost everyone here on newgrounds.

This music is absolutely epic, I really liked the kick around :55. It's super powerful and strong, and meshes well to make an electronic sounding classical song.

This totally reminds me of Castle Crashers. Every little bit.

Then you have you're so beyond superb climax which sets itself so far above the rest of the song, that even what once sounded like the epitome of newgrounds, now sounds like rubbish compared to its climax.

Excellent job as always.

nubbinownz responds:

Thank you man, but seriously don't let that kind of stuff get you down. Just do what I did, listen to alot of songs, take what you need from them and get to where you want to be.

( and by take what you need I don't mean steal part of the song)

You just have to find those sounds that you like so much and figure out how to replicate or create something close to it, that's going to work for you.

The creation of music is an intense journey that never ceases to satisfy.

Very much like the RPG's that this song is based on.

You begin small, with a minimal set of skills that will aide only in getting you to the next chapter. Along the way as you " level up " you learn new techniques and methods for creation. Whether it be a quicker more efficient way to do something you've been doing, or a badass form of micro -resampling that opens up the next area of your adventure. Give a listen to some of my MUCH older tracks, I.E. "Space Blaster" or anything around that time frame. You'll notice how much I've advanced from there. It's ridiculously silly how fast you start to pick stuff up :D

Just keep at it man, and also checked out some of your tracks, they aren't anywhere near as mediocre as you think they are. The melodies are really emotional. It's just about learning the software to a point where you can translate your ideas into actual music.

Keep an eye on my youtube channel I'm working on some tutorials :D

Oh Snap!

Holy nifty pants mcgee, this is a cool song. You have talent sir, I hope you never stop making music.

nubbinownz responds:

I hope you never stop being sexy.

On a side note :( about the collab. I've literally tried 8 different versions of it. I just can't find something that is even close to putting out there.
