Pretty alright
It could use some work, but overall it's pretty good ^_^ Also, I'm pretty sure the Yoshida Brothers play the Shamisen, not the Sangen :3

Ok, so I happened to be doing some work on a listening log for my music class, and I chose the sangen as a musical instrument as that was as obscure as I could find. Two guys are famous for their J-Pop incorporating this instrument (which sounds really good, by the way), and the original song can be found at the url I just put up. This is a work in progress which I intend to finish.

Doesn't sound too terribly J Poppy. What you got seems solid, but it seems to be missing some polish.
Maybe a Bass line, A Drum set, or some bitchin' Lyrics.
Other than that, this sounds promising.\

IT does needm ore for sure though. I like the random "OH!" out of no where. That got a laugh out of me =). All in all though it does need some work being that its just one instrument and then a "OH" haha.. Keep it up buddy!
